ENAR RAB Poster Competition
Up to five RAB Poster Competition Awards are given each year to participants presenting posters during the Opening Mixer and Poster Session at the ENAR Spring Meeting. Each winner receives recognition at the Presidential Invited Address, a certificate and a gift card valued at $50.
Eligibility
To be eligible, a participant must be an ENAR member and able to present the research during the Opening Mixer & Poster Session taking place Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the ENAR Spring Meeting in Indianapolis, IN. Reported research should be either a new statistical methodology or a creative application of statistical analyses to a problem, issue or policy question relevant to biometric applications. The participant must be the first author, although the manuscript can be coauthored with a faculty advisor and/or a small number of collaborators. The paper must not be published or accepted for publication at the time of submission.
All required materials for a RAB Poster Competition Award must be received by the ENAR Business Office through the abstract submission portal through www.enar.org, by 11:59 p.m. ET October 16, 2025. You also need to answer the question in the submission portal indicating your interest in participating in the RAB Poster Competition.
Review Criteria
Up to 5 award winners will be selected through onsite review during the Opening Mixer and Poster Session. Briefly, while the poster session itself lasts from 8:00pm – 11:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, all poster presenters will be asked to stand by their papers for one of two 1-hour timeslots: 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm or 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm. During this period, judges will circulate the room (without identifying themselves as judges) and will be assigned to review up to three posters. Selection criteria will emphasize the strength of the poster presentation in three areas:
- Visual Presentation: Were the motivations for the research and the results presented in a clear and well-organized manner on the poster?
- Verbal Presentation: Did the presenter communicate the research problem and the results in a clear and well-organized manner?
- Methodology: Evaluate the strength of the methodological development and/or innovation in application and its relevance to the motivations for the research.

All abstracts must be submitted No Later Than 11:59 p.m. ET October 16, 2025.
