Contributed Abstract Submission Details
Guidelines
The ENAR 2027 Spring Meeting abstract submission window for contributed submissions will open September 15, 2026.
Presentation categories for Contributed abstract submissions include:
- Oral Presentation: generally 15 minutes long with 10 minutes for an orally presented talk with slides and 5 mins for questions and discussion.
- Poster Presentation: Presentations must feature printed information mounted on traditional poster boards.
- Lightning Poster Presentation: Speed poster sessions cover various themes and are mounted on a traditional poster board. Each session opens with a 2-minute elevator pitch where presenters highlight their work to draw in attendees.
- NEW! Undergraduate Spotlight SPEED Poster Session: A “hybrid” of a poster and presentation, a speed session consists of a 5-minute oral presentation for all participants.
Priority for oral presentations will be given to abstracts 1) submitted earlier and 2) that ensure session coherence or program diversity.
One submission per person: ENAR allows each speaker, discussant, or panelist to present in only one poster OR one oral session.
You can be listed as a co-author on multiple abstracts, as long as someone else is designated as the primary presenter for those other sessions. Serving as session chair or session organizer does not count towards the 1 presentation limit. Check out the Participation Opportunities FAQ here.
RAB Poster Award Competition: Abstracts accepted as a Poster Presentation will be entered into the RAB Poster Competition only if the submitter selects to opt-in at the time of submission (there will be a checkbox on the submission form)
Distinguished Student Paper Awards: If you plan to submit a paper for the Distinguished Student Paper Awards, please submit your abstract on this same form. Please note: you are also required to submit your manuscript. Click here to submit your manuscript.
All contributed abstracts will be accepted, space permitting. The program committee reserves the right to move any contributed abstract from an oral or speed to a regular poster presentation, as needed.
Meeting registration is required to present at the ENAR 2027 Spring Meeting. Click here to register.
For Contributed Abstract submissions: If Meeting Registration and payment are not received by 11:59 PM ET October 29, 2026, your contributed abstract session could be invalidated.
For Distinguished Student Paper Awards submissions: If meeting registration and membership renewal/join and payment are not received by 11:59 PM ET October 15, 2026, your submission will be invalidated. Click here for more details.

Federal Employees: ENAR understands that federal government employees need to go through an extensive approval process for funding to attend the ENAR 2027 Spring Meeting. If you are a federal government employee and would like to submit an abstract but need to bypass registration at this time, please contact the ENAR office at enar@enar.org and request your unique registration waiver code. Please note that confirmation of your Federal Government employee status may be requested.Abstract Submission Directions
- The title should be entered in the title case (i.e., Capitalization of the first word, and all other words, except for articles, prepositions, conjunctions, and forms of to be). Do not put your title in quotation marks.
- Do not use formatting tags; TeX and LaTeX code will not be translated. Pasting from a rich text source, such as a Word file, may lose embedded special characters. Enter authors in order for the abstract heading.
- You will be asked to submit your full abstract. This must be under 1200 characters. Then, you will be asked to give a 2-3 sentence abstract description. This will be printed in the program as submitted.
- Carefully review your abstract to ensure all special characters and formatting are displayed properly. Please check your entries thoroughly–ENAR is not responsible for proofreading or editing your submission.
- You will be asked to select three keywords (from a dropdown list of pre-selected keywords) that best describe the topic of your abstract. Please select these carefully as they will be used to group submissions into conference sessions.
- Please enter all authors in the order they should appear in the heading of the abstract, beginning with the Presenting Author. There is a limit of one abstract per presenting author. Presenting authors can be co-authors on other presentations.
- There is a limit of ten (10) authors per abstract.
- Please confirm with any co-authors how their name should appear in the program before submitting. Different forms of the same name (e.g. John Smith and John A. Smith) will not be linked in the digital program, even if the affiliation is the same.
- Please advise of any scheduling conflicts when asked: Eligible conflicts include chairing an Invited Session or attendingTutorial, Roundtable, Short Course, or Business Meetings.
Deadlines
The deadline for contributed abstract submissions is 11:59 pm ET, October 29, 2026. At that time, the submission form will be unavailable and no further abstracts will be accepted. ENAR is unable to make exceptions to submission deadlines.

Abstract Submission Additional Details
Initial Notification: Notification of abstract submission acceptances will be sent out in November.
Final Notification: Details including the presentation format (i.e., poster or oral), session, and time slot assignments typically are emailed in January. If you do not receive your notification by the end of January, please contact the ENAR Office at enar@enar.org.
