ENAR Regional Advisory Board (RAB) Poster Award Competition

As a new initiative for the 2012 ENAR Spring Meeting, we are pleased to inaugurate the RAB Poster Award Competition. Posters provide a unique way to share our research with each other and engage in 1-1 and small group conversations that often cannot occur within the time constraints of a talk. As a way to encourage poster submissions and highlight the research being presented during ENAR's poster sessions, ENAR will present several RAB Poster Awards in 2012.

All members of ENAR are eligible for consideration in the RAB Poster Award Competition. Posters will be judged in categories: i) Applications in biometry, public health, and medicine; ii) Clinical Trials and Translational Biopharmaceutical Research; iii) Genetics/Genomics; iv) High Dimensional Data; v) Statistical theory and methods. These listed categories are tentative and depend on the type and number of posters submitted; moreover, the categories may change after poster submission is complete. Posters will be judged based on content, innovation, visual presentation, and verbal presentation. There will be at least one award winner per category.

Instructions to submit your poster for consideration in the RAB Poster Award Competition are listed below. Winners of the RAB Poster Award Competition will be announced during the Tuesday morning Presidential Invited Address Session.

If you would like to participate as a judge for the Poster Award Competition, please send an email to the RAB Poster Award Committee Chair, Reneé H. Moore, at rhmoore@mail.med.upenn.edu. Judges are an essential element to the success of the Poster Award Competition.

Instructions to enter a poster for consideration in the 2012 RAB Poster Award Competition:

1. Register for the ENAR Meeting and make sure your membership in ENAR is current

2. Go to the ENAR Abstract Submission webpage at http://www.enar.org/enar2k11/ and follow the instructions for submitting your abstract (deadline: October 15, 2011)
   a. On the scheduling portion of the ENAR Abstract Submission process, choose YES for the question "Would you like your Poster submitted to the RAB Poster Award Competition? "
   b. Then select a potential category* in which you would like your poster to be judged:
   i) Applications in biometry, public health, and medicine
   ii) Clinical Trials and Translational Biopharmaceutical Research
   iii) Genetics/Genomics
   iv) High Dimensional Data
   v) Statistical theory and methods
   * Categories are tentative and may change after Poster submission is complete
   
   
3. On Sunday, April 1, 2012, display your poster from 8:00 to 11:00 pm and be available for any questions during the poster session.
